Child-focused team

In 2012 we won the contract to deliver the entire service on behalf of Stockton Borough Council, operating from a ten room contact centre in the heart of Stockton.

Our passionate, well-trained, child-focused team raised £3,000 charitable funding to redecorate the centre and theme each room (farm, car, under the sea etc) to create a more child-friendly experience. We also deliver supervised contact on behalf of other Local Authorities.

Safeguarding is our priority and we have robust systems and processes to record and report concerns.

Our wrap around service includes liaising with social workers and families to set up contact, transport if needed, completing internal risk assessments, writing reports for social workers and for court, life story work, final contacts and providing a range of data to the Local Authority.

We also seek feedback from children and family members to help develop the service. We go the extra mile to make the contact experience as child centred as possible.

What do you like about the service?

What do you like about the service? is one of the questions on the feedback questionnaire at the contact centre.

The reply from one parent: “Everything. At first I was annoyed I had to come to a contact centre but everybody here was helpful, understanding and had great advice. Also my son loved it!”
